Winter is eating my brain. No snow, just a cold wind, which is driving me mad. Sometimes I want to run away into another universe.

Currents - Monster (may be there will be a review later), Loveless (new-old obsession), and long "to-read" list (Jean Genet's Notre Dame des Fleures and "Lost Souls" by Poppy Brite are wonderful).

    Harry/Zacharias Smith, drabble
Thanks angharadd for betaing this. )))))

This is how the war ends: too many deaths to bear, the dreams of blood, ash and trampled soil burnt by the sun.
In the end of this war there is a room, a bed with tattered sheets which smell of sweat and passion.
Zach leans against the wall while Harry kisses him, caresses his blonde hair and whispers meaningless words of love and faith. But he doesn't believe him no matter how much he wants this words to be true.
"Why are you with me?", he asks.
    Silence.
Perhaps this is good, because Zacharias doesn't know himself what answer he wants to hear.
And perhaps Harry doesn't know what to say.
Hermione is dead. Ron is dead. Snape is dead. Allen Smith is dead, and nobody, nobody can tell them what was this all for.
That's what they have in the end - the distant, almost unheard song of an ocean outside the house, long moments of skin against skin and separate memories of the past which seemed to be forgotten, weared off to the monochrome.
